Football first made its way into his life at the age of 9 and has been with him ever since. Although a major knee injury his junior year of high school upended his collegiate dream, Eric found a way to keep involved in the game he loved through coaching. Starting over 15 years ago, Eric started volunteering at Central Islip PAL, mentoring the young men in more than just football, which led him to leaving his accounting job and pursuing a career in education to mentor the youth. Eric has coached at the high school level for the past 9 years at St. John the Baptist and now at Sachem North. For the past 3 years Eric has been the head varsity coach for the Flag Football team, continuing to share the game he loves with anyone who is willing to partake. He and wife Rachel had their first child together on April 23, 2024. Eric believes that the development of the athlete is not just focused on the game and skills but also in the person.
